Take climate action and make a difference

The European Climate Pact is inviting people across Europe who want to take the next step for climate action and actively contribute to the effort towards a more sustainable future to become Ambassadors. Becoming an Ambassador is an opportunity to strengthen climate action through your own activities, mobilise your community, and share ideas and solutions that can make a difference.

What is the European Climate Pact?

The European Climate Pact is a dynamic and open initiative of the European Commission and a key pillar of the European Green Deal. In essence, it is a pan-European movement created to bridge the gap between policy-making and civil society.

A key role of the Pact is to give citizens a voice, the tools and a meaningful role in taking action to protect the environment. It serves as a platform for networking and collaboration, providing the public with information and raising awareness about climate crisis based on scientific evidence. At the same time, it provides a common space for sharing knowledge and good practices and developing innovative, local solutions, supporting the European Union’s transition towards climate neutrality by 2050. In this effort, citizens and their communities have a key role to play, turning knowledge and awareness into action.

Why become an Ambassador?

As an Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, you can make your voice part of this effort, positively influence your community, inspire and mobilise others, and help promote meaningful climate initiatives. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to connect with hundreds of people across Europe, exchange ideas and good practices, and gain access to practical tools and resources that can support your own activities.

In this way, the Pact demonstrates in practice that meaningful change can start with our small everyday actions.

Application process and deadline

The call is open to people who want to take an active role in climate action and use their voice, knowledge, skills or networks to engage and mobilise others. You do not need to be a climate expert. What matters is your willingness to take action and your commitment to making a positive contribution to your community.

Applications are now open and will remain open until 31 October 2026, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Early submission is therefore encouraged.
