AGON by AOC, the world’s leading gaming monitor brand¹, announces the AGON PRO AGP257FT, the fastest monitor it has introduced to date. The 24.5-inch (62.2 cm) Full HD esports monitor features a native 1000 Hz refresh rate, with the ability to overclock to 1050 Hz, combined with a minimum response time of 0.3 ms (GtG), VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and integrated hardware-level eye-care features. The AGP257FT has been designed for professional esports players and gamers who choose to play competitive, fast-paced titles, and is expected to become available on the market in the first quarter of 2027.

1000 Hz on an Oxide Technology Fast IPS Panel

At the heart of the AGP257FT is an Oxide Technology Fast IPS panel. Thanks to fast-response liquid crystal materials and the advanced panel architecture, pixels move faster than on conventional LCD displays, overcoming the voltage response limitations typically encountered at extremely high refresh rates. This ensures smoother motion, lower frame-to-frame delay, and more immediate visual response during flick shots, sudden turns, and rapid scene transitions. At a 1000 Hz refresh rate, the AGP257FT displays a new frame every 1 ms.

HDR and Rich Colours Without Compromising Speed

VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and 20-zone local dimming add greater brightness and image depth in compatible titles. The panel covers 99% of the sRGB colour space and 90% of DCI-P3, with a typical brightness of 450 nits, while each monitor comes with a factory report on colour accuracy and brightness uniformity.

Eye Comfort During Long Gaming Sessions

Demanding training sessions and tournaments mean spending many hours in front of the screen. The AGP257FT takes care of eye comfort directly at the hardware level:

• Hardware-level Low Blue Light technology reduces harmful short-wavelength blue light emissions directly at the backlight source, without the yellowish tint caused by software filters
• TÜV Rheinland-certified circular polarisation, verified at over 50%, produces light that more closely resembles natural sunlight, reducing reflections and helping protect the eyes from fatigue
• Flicker-Free backlight technology using direct current (DC) instead of pulse-width modulation (PWM), combined with an anti-glare coating.

Designed for Esports

The fully adjustable stand offers 150 mm of height adjustment, as well as tilt, swivel and pivot functionality, with integrated measurement markings that make it easier to maintain or replicate a preferred position. At the same time, the quick-release mechanism simplifies transporting the monitor to LAN events and tournaments. The included QuickSwitch controller provides immediate access to the monitor’s functions and settings.
