Fraport Greece brought the spirit of Valentine’s Day to life at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia”, inviting departing passengers to experience a light-hearted and emotionally engaging celebration of love and travel.

Conceived and delivered by Extrovert, the activation was designed as a playful, highly visual airport experience that travelers could join organically, without disrupting their journey. The objective was clear: to create memorable, shareable moments while strengthening the emotional bond between visitors and the destination.

The centerpiece of the activation was an immersive Valentine’s Photo Spot featuring a striking balloon installation in red and white hues, oversized 3D LOVE letters, and an interactive message wall. Passengers were invited to write personal dedications using red, pink and fuchsia markers, gradually transforming the wall into a collective canvas of affection and stories. Over the course of the activation, the installation evolved into a vibrant mosaic of emotions — spontaneous and authentic.

To complete the experience, travelers received commemorative magnets reading “Love at first flight” by Fraport, a small yet meaningful keepsake that proved particularly popular and extended the activation beyond the airport environment.

Through thoughtful concept development, strong visual storytelling and seamless on-site coordination, Extrovert curated an atmosphere that was festive yet refined, encouraging interaction, photo sharing and emotional expression.
